The beginning of St. James Gate

Drawing inspiration from Arthur Guinness, St. James Gate found its name from the world famous brewery in Dublin, Ireland, where Guinness beer was first produced in 1759. We wanted to combine the old world charm of Ireland’s quaint and cozy ‘local’ with the comforts and appeal of the Maritimes; to produce a unique and memorable place for our guests to raise a glass, share a laugh and create memories.

Whether you enjoy a meal at one of our restaurants, listen to some live music over drinks or spend a night at Hotel St. James, we want every experience with our team to leave a positive and lasting impression.

St. James Gate is our home and we want everyone who comes through our doors to feel like our guests of honour.
